We put produce on display shelves in the market place in Gibside. They are near the bakery. The produce is usually available from mid July to the end of March. They are re-stocked regularly between Thursday and Sunday each week. Anyone is welcome to take the produce and donate what you think it’s worth.

While we still have plenty of fresh new broad beans available at the farm, broad beans in general are getting a bit middle aged now. Attached a nice recipe from a book by Arto der Haroutunian. Also they make a lovely hummus. Cook until soft (I take the skins off if I'm making it for others but if you have a stick blender it should blend them in). Mash, add good olive oil, lemon juice, chopped up garlic cloves, some of the cooking water if it needs to be softer. I also add tahini, some add mint or other herbs or spices.
